Padraig Folan Civil Engineering Ltd is seeking a Graduate / Setting Out Engineer required in the Galway area.
The Project we’re involved is a housing development in Rahoon and our scope of works consists groundworks, drainage, services, watermain, roads, paving etc.
The expected experience the candidate should be willing to gain includes:
- understanding of groundworks volume calculations, quantities and levels
- deep drainage specifications and quality control
- kerbing and road construction
- watermain compliance with Irish Water specifications
- services compliance with ESB, Virgin Media and Eir
- monthly valuations based on Bill of Quantities
- Surveying, Setting out and As-Builts using GPS equipment
- communication with suppliers and ordering materials
- liaising with Consulting Engineers and the Client, submission of quality certification etc
- site records keeping
- Health and Safety aspects on construction site
