Senior Quantity Surveyor
Opportunity: This role would be of interest to a qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor with main Contractor experience who is interested in the opportunity of working in Mainland Europe on large scale construction projects – something different!!
Benefits: Salary on the tax system in your country of deployment, own expensed apartment, 2 flights home per month with a living allowance provided to cover daily expenses – salary shown an indication and is dependent on experience.
Location: Sweden
Details: Our client is a large international main contractor heavily involved in the construction of Data Centers. As the main contractor on these projects, they build them as a complete package from enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation, and commissioning to final client handover. You will be working with a large main contractor within a strong and structured management team. You will report to a Project Director and Regional Commercial Manager.
Duties
• Interpret contract and ensure the best interest of the project is protected
• Supervising junior QS’s
• Identifying and pricing of all variations as and when they occur
• Managing and forecasting the cash flow of the project
• Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting
• Keep detailed records of all correspondence to be easily retrieved when required.
• Manage procurement process
• Ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same
• Prepare and agree interim valuations at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company.
• Prepare, and in conjunction with senior management agree final account with client’s representative.
• Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximise project margins.
Requirements:
• Appropriate 3rd level qualification
• In excess of 7 years’ experience with a main contractor or M&E contractor
• No previous Data Center experience required for the right candidate.
