Commissioning Engineer
Opportunity to work in Frankfurt, with your own apartment provided, living allowance and return flights home every two weeks.
Our client is a leading Main Contractor with multiple projects in Ireland and in 9 cities across mainland Europe.
They are heavily involved in the construction of Data Centers which they build as a complete package from enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation and commissioning to final client handover.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Carrying out of commissioning responsibilities on site. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the Commissioning plan for the project.
- Supervising Site Supervisors (commissioning and testing personnel on site).
- Conducting Commissioning Tagging process and procedures.
- Reporting Progress on all Commissioning activities both internally and externally.
- Attending weekly commissioning meetings and conducting weekly commissioning activities.
- Development of the Project commissioning schedule in conjunction with the project planners.
- Conducting of all day to day on site commissioning operations
- Supervising testing of power and distribution systems.
- Carrying out electrical self isolations
- Generating Permits for testing works
Requirements:
- Relevant certificates in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a similar role within a construction environment with experience in Commercial, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects is desirable.
- Experience of working on LV/MV or HV systems with commissioning experience.
- Electrical Testing & Verification with min 3 years’ experience.
- Construction experience / understanding required with safety experience.
- Solves problems analytically and acts decisively
- Process driven candidate and focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes is desirable
