About the Role
Join our dynamic site-based commercial team as a Senior Contracts Administrator on a 2/1 roster, overseeing head contracts and subcontracts for construction and renewable energy projects in Western Australia. This role is pivotal in managing project budgets, claims, and subcontractor performance, with a strong focus on maximizing profitability and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. About the Role
Join our dynamic site-based commercial team as a Senior Contracts Administrator on a 2/1 roster, overseeing head contracts and subcontracts for construction and renewable energy projects in Western Australia. This role is pivotal in managing project budgets, claims, and subcontractor performance, with a strong focus on maximizing profitability and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Some of your other key tasks will include;
- Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, variations, and notices of delay or extension of time requests in line with the head contract requirements.
- Draft, award, administer, and manage subcontracts, ensuring accurate administration and commercial protection.
- Collaborate with the project team to manage and control project budgets, driving profitability and minimizing financial risk.
- Procure and recommend subcontractors, ensuring compliance with the Authority Matrix and subcontract terms.
- Review and resolve subcontract deviations with support from the Commercial Manager, ensuring all project interests are safeguarded.
- Ensure subcontractors have adequate insurance coverage and meet project requirements.
- Maintain and update variation and claim registers, along with the accurate filing of project records.
- Oversee project correspondence and ensure seamless communication between stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budgets alongside the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, ensuring systems like Viewpoint are set up and maintained.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, including project forecasts, to the Commercial and Operations Manager.
- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in managing all aspects of construction contracts, including timely notifications, monthly progress claims, and general contract administration.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Excellent measurement and quantity take-off abilities.
- Proven experience in budget control and cost management.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to capture data accurately and efficiently.
- Highly organized, with strong record-keeping skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities and multitasking effectively.
