Senior Quantity Surveyor - Build / Civil - Canada

Our client is an employee-owned multi-billion-dollar International Construction Civil Infrastructure Industrial Contractor.
They undertake projects across Canada from Vancouver to Montréal and across the divide from city regeneration to rail, datacentres to highways, hospitals to refineries.
Due to continued success in an ever-growing market, they would like to speak to Quantity Surveyors who have 8+ yrs Quantity Surveying experience with established Irish/UK Building and/or Civil Engineering Main Contractors who are interested relocating to Canada for the medium to long-term. They have requirements at various Regional Offices across Canada i.e., Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Ottawa, Regina, Vancouver etc. They will try relocate you/family to desired location if possible subject to operational requirements. They offer complete relocation with visas for you/family with a dedicated in-house transition team to help simplify the move i.e. accomodation, schooling, medical, transport, flights, visas, shipping furniture etc
Job Specification:
Interpret contract and ensure the best interest of the project is protected
Managing and forecasting the cash flow of the project
Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting
Help manage procurement process
Prepare, and in conjunction with senior management agree final account with client’s representative.
Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximise project margins.
Responsible for commercial and contractual matters on your project
Assist Estimating and Operations with developing bid submissions
Forecasting and cost/value reporting
Supplier/Sub-contract identification and tendering
Procurement of resources to meet programme and ideally tender
Supply chain management
Manage, develop and mentor junior members of the team
Working successfully in a team environment
