A Calibration/Service/Instrumentation Technician is being recruited by a progressive young company who operate in the Automation, Process Control and Instrumentation Sectors. This company currently focus their efforts on the Water and Power industries. The business is growing quickly and they have plans to expand into further markets. They are also a leading supplier of PLCs to the Irish market.

This is an great opportunity for a motivated individual to progress his career with a growing ambitious company.

The successful candidate will be based in the East Cork office joining an experienced service team providing professional services (Calibration/Validation/Service) both in-house and field based throughout the country. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate on the relevant product ranges. The client base is extensive and covers every key sector of Irish Water and Power Industries. This is a permanent position with opportunities for further promotion within an expanding company.

What you will be responsible for:
  • Carry out scheduled Calibration, Validation and Service works both on-site and in-house
  • Support and Liaise with the Service and Sales teams
  • Technical support for products
  • General associated service department duties (Service reports, maintain computerised calibration management system, quality standards etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with customers and ensure customer satisfaction at all times. 
  • Work well on my own initiative and as part of a team when required
What you need to be Successful:

  • Instrumentation/Calibration qualification (either time served, graduate or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of calibration methods & procedures. Ability to calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, humidity level, analytical, etc.
  • A high level of IT Skills
  • Flexibility as some work will be in-house and some site based
  • Be a team player with a friendly outgoing disposition
  • Be a punctual, motivated and organise self-starter who is enthusiastic and conscientious about completing work on time and to a high standard
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to work and be able to work well unsupervised on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving License
