Technical Administrator - Winchester

Job Role Overview

The Schemes Technical Administrator role is in our Operations team - part of the Hampshire Highways maintenance team based in Winchester Hampshire.

Reporting to the Planner your main responsibility will be to provide general office, finance and technical administrative support to our Schemes delivery team.

Key Accountabilities:

  •  General administration duties including:
  •  Contacting supervisors and checking progress on works
  •  Updating progress on works currently on the ground
  •  Preparing letters for upcoming works
  •  Creating folders for works documents to be stored in
  •  Supplying stats for works due to start
  •  Other administrative tasks as required
  •  Road space booking, NRSWA enquiries and associated activities
  •  Liaison with Hampshire County Council and other affected stakeholders for proposed works
  •  Support for contract HSEQ teams


Working Environment:
Working within the Hampshire Highways maintenance depots in Totton, Bishops Waltham and Petersfield and in our Clients head office in Winchester with requirements to travel for meetings.

Person Specification:

• Minimum GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above or equivalent
• Driving licence desirable

Knowledge and Experience:

• Excellent organisational abilities
• Skilled in providing administrative support preferably in a technical environment
• Strong IT skills - particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of road space booking procedures and public engagement with NRSWA preferable
