Position Summary:

The role of the Research Executive is to research, analyse, collate and present industry data for publication across both online and print channels.  Based in Dublin, the successful candidate will work closely with the Communications Executive and interact with the global Sales and marketing teams, while reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, with exposure to the business as a whole, the successful candidate will require strong interpersonal skills. The role will involve deriving meaningful insights from raw data, which can then be utilised in updating our online resources and in the writing of our articles and publications.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collating and gathering data on assigned projects
  • Conducting primary and secondary research
  • Analysing, manipulating and interpreting data from external sources with a view to informing and shaping Linesight’s stance on topical matters
  • Researching industry trends, predicting future trends and communicating data in a concise and easy-to-understand format, for use by the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Researching global markets, to explore the commercial viability and competitive environment, backed with data and statistics to build a business case
  • Researching and assisting the Communications Executive with the Linesight Handbook
  • Researching and preparing the Irish section of the Linesight Knowledge Center and making sure it is kept up to date as data becomes available
  • Collating the international sections of Knowledge Center and liaising with regional stakeholders for content making sure it is kept up to date as data becomes available
  • Reviewing all content for the Irish and international sections of Knowledge Center and presenting it in a standard format to Design Agency for production
  • Ongoing reviewing and checking of Design Agency work to make sure it is ready to publish 
  • Converting data and research findings into concise and easy-to-understand tables, graphs and written reports
  • Preparing reports with actionable recommendations and presenting results to management
Desired Experience and Education:
  • Degree qualified
  • Previous experience in a research position within a commercial business environment 
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Publisher), and a data visualization software, such as Tableau or MS Dynamics
  • Experience in a Data Analyst role
  • Familiarity with statistical software to analyse data
  • Construction experience (desirable)
