Project Engineer - Building - Tax Free

Our client is a Property Developer, set up for the construction of a Marina and real estate development in the St Vincent and the Grenadines Islands in the Caribbean.

The project is valued at circa $200m and consists of a new marina, commercial and residential apartments and villas based on the Island Canouan.

Canouan is a small picturesque island with a current population of approx. 1500 people.  There are local connections to Barbados or St. Lucia for international flights.

The marina civils works are nearly completed and they are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to work on the start of the building works.

There are approx. 18 months still to run.

Duties will include:

Check designs and coordinate with the different design consultants
Schedule the project and allocate resources
Help with budgeting and quantity take offs
Support the QS in tracking progress vs schedule and vs budget
Maintain material procurement lists and negotiate with suppliers
Support Site Supers in inspecting periodically the site for quality control

The ideal candidate will be a Degree qualified Civil Engineer (or similar) coupled with at least 3-5 years’ Senior/Project Engineering work experience with main contractors or developers on major development/resort type projects which have involved building and civil elements.
