This role is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to become a key part of an expanding team with an industry titan. This company is a true leader in the construction industry and has built its reputation by consistently delivering pioneering projects throughout Ireland, The UK and mainland Europe.

Our client have multiple offices nationwide including Dublin, Athlone, Waterford, Galway, Sligo, Limerick, Cork. This role is based in Cork and one of your priorities will be to ensure relationships are maintained and that projects are delivered successfully, while maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement
• Manage & oversee AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues

Requirements:

• Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying
• 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building construction
• Confidence in building and maintaining supplier relationships
