Great opportunity for someone to move back to the Cork region to a progressive Large Contractor.

Company Overview:

Azon continues to work closely with a large sized main contractor who are enjoying their best performing year since their formation over 10 years ago with a turnover of €300mil+ in 2017.
Our client who are a quality focused business with smart leadership and a well-defined growth strategy are seeking to hire an experienced Project Manager to grow with the business.
Azon has placed several people in this business and have received excellent reports back about the camaraderie within the company.

Background:

This is a new and permanent role in line with business growth and performance which will join the existing close knit team in driving further success.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to be based in the Limerick area. The successful candidate will have a proven record of experience in working with medium – large contractors
The role itself will involve working with a repeat client where a very healthy and positive relationship exists.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Pre-contract planning and setting of and controlling project budgets;
  • Negotiating and dealing with sub-contractors;
  • Setting up daily and weekly tasks for site foremen and managers;
  • Approving materials, material/subcontract invoices, labour costs;
  • Monitoring all quality and dealing with any issues;
  • Managing health and safety on site;
  • Managing and driving a large team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines;
  • Establishing performance and delivery criteria ensuring that client requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Background in Construction Management and 5 years Project Manager experience
  • Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or trade background;
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of current H&S / Fire Regulations;
  • Great organisational skills and excellent communication abilities;
  • Flexible individual with ability to work under pressure;
  • Management and leadership skills.
