Assistant Project Manager (Site Based)
KM Lynskey, with a head office based in North Dublin, are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager.
Our Services include all aspects of Partition & Ceiling Construction, External Rendering and Fit Out Works and are currently working on a number of sites in Ireland and Europe.

The Assistant Project Managers primary function is to assist the project managers with their administration duties on larger projects, with a potential progression path into project management positions in due course.

Qualifications & Previous experience:
You will preferably have previous experience focusing on internal fit outs, including internal partitions and ceilings etc, in commercial and industrial projects, and have some experience of managing a team.
The role will include management of relationships with designers and site and client teams, main contractors and suppliers.
The ideal candidate should have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in engineering / construction management
 
The Role:
 Working closely with the site manager , and providing reports into the project contracts manager, the key areas of responsibilities include
  • Maintain all relevant documentation including drawings register, project programme, weekly project productivity, variation log, hire equipment log, PPE register etc.
  • Understanding of programme and organizing labour and materials to achieve the same.
  • Plan sufficient labour resources are on-site to and manager product delivery
  • Resolve day to day issue's onsite in a timely, amicable and efficient manner to ensure the programme is maintained
  • Plan works accordingly to tie in line with the programme and drive labour force to work at maximum capacity while on-site.
  • Organise works in accordance with all Health and Safety guidelines
  • QA all tradesmen work in a systematic way to ensure quality is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that work is built in accordance with the latest construction issue drawings
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site - carry out safety checks on site.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Good knowledge of general construction contracts, relevant legislation and standards
  • Proven experience working with Industrial and Commercial projects, and preferably with experience in the areas of internal fit out work.
  • The ability to work independently and to manage inputs from a range of specialist suppliers and in-house staff
  • Good interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Be results oriented
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
