Foreman - Pipeline - Civil

Who you’ll be working for:
Breagh Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a large Irish based Civil engineering company, who have a vacancy within their Scottish operation’s for an experienced Foreman with extensive cross country pipeline experience (Water / Gas / Utilities, etc).

What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will have, 10 years + experience as a heavy civil Foreman with 3 years + proven experience as a construction foreman on cross country pipelines or utility projects, In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines, along with the ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.

What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for a competent Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers and plant onsite. As the point of reference of both workers and engineers, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. The successful candidate should have a solid background in Civil Engineering and/or cross country Utilities installation. You should have sufficient leadership skills and experience to have earned the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else. You must also be able to communicate with other members of the team as well as clients representatives.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Monitor attendance of construction crews
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.

What you’ll get in return:
An excellent package will be put in place for the successful candidate, with a salary that reflects your experience and abilities to date. Basic salary will be fully negotiable, but thought to be in the region of £40,000 – £50,000+ Accommodation + Travel + Living away allowance.
