Graduate Quantity Surveyor
Our client, a corporate Telecoms/Civils Company specialising in broadband network, are seeking to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin South office.
The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will to work closely with the quantity surveyors in all phases of the project, including tender documentation, cost management, contractor performance assessment, and procurement. The individual will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in the management the cost management function throughout all phases of a project
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Liaison with procurement function
  • Report writing and interpretation
  • Contribution to the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting system, ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date, track actual costs against budget allowances with deviations highlighted and managed, prepare cost liability statements and commitments. 
  • Carrying out cost comparisons, cost analysis and value engineering to help achieve a commercially successful project
  • Management of Contractor packages including valuations, variations, re-measures and negotiation from procurement through to final account 
  • Managing and controlling all costs for your project including materials and services contracts 
  • Working as part of a team to financial manage projects through tight monetary control 
  • Providing monthly statements of cost liabilities. & production of cost value reconciliation reports 
To be considered for the role you must have:
  • Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying (essential)
  • Experience of utility works advantageous
  • Full, clean Drivers licence
